Trade License

Trade License is being introduced in Bangladesh under the City Corporation Taxation Rules, 1983. It is issued when any entrepreneur applie through the license form. The process is managed by the City Corporation or city council where the business operars. A license is issued exclusively in the name of the company and such license is not transferable. A renewed Trade License is provided by the concerned staff of the zonal taxation office. A fee for trade license has to be deposited at any Bank as indicated in the Trade License form.

      Office Premises Documents ( Deed/Tax pay slip/Dollis)

      Agreement of Partnership copy ( if Partnership Farm)

      Board of Investment Permission (Work Permit) If necessary

Procedure of IRC & ERC

Now an importer having Import Registration Certificate (IRC) and an Exporter having Export Registration Certificate (ERC) can Import & Export any permissible item without any value and quantity restrictions and without obtaining any permission from any authority.

Procedure for issuance of Import Registration Certificate and Export Registration Certificate has been simplified. It requires only the following documents:

1.      Trade License copy.

2.      Memorandum & Articles of association. ( if Limited Company)

3.      Certificate of Incorporation. ( if Limited Company)

4.      Partnership Agreement with Registration copy ( if Partnership Farm )

5.      Prescribed application form of CCI & E duly filled in.

6.      Passport size photographs (3 copies).

7.      National ID / Passport copy of entrepreneur.

8.      Company TIN Certificate copy.

9.       Membership Certificate from Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industries or from Concern Business Association.

10.     Bank Solvency Certificate.

11.     Main copy of Treasury Chalan.

Export Registration Certificate ERC...
